Job Summary (Brief summary of Job Responsibility)

Sales Executive acts as the principal point of contact between the management and its sales staffs at branch level. Their job scope covers a broad range of activities at the branch, from managing manpower to field sales supervision. They are also responsible to manage the service level for the clients within their sales jurisdiction. A Sales Supervisor is someone who possess great interpersonal skills, target orientated and possesses high level of integrity. 

Job Description (List of task carried out)

  1. To manage manpower at branch level by monitoring their sales team attendance as well as to ensure that sales vehicle mobilization is always at optimum level. Sales Supervisor to ensure that the handheld system is accessible for their respective staffs by coordinating with Branch Executive.
  2. To scout for new potential recruit, screen and conduct interview at branch level. To ensure that all Sales Personnel are always well groom with company uniform. To conduct on-job training for new entrees.
  3. To ensure that Sales Representative/Driver/Merchandiser are graded and salary commensurate with the grading. To prepare AMS during year-end review and salary calculation, Document Sales Representative/Driver/Merchandiser progress and work performance.
  4. To plan in the event of when lorries are due for PUSPAKOM inspection. Sales Supervisor must ensure that route is not affected. Responsible to update the Time Management System every day and ensure the hand punch machine operates all the time and to update all staffs approved leave application into the ORISOFT HRWIN leave application based on the manual leave application form.
  5. To create efficient and systematic routing for Merchandiser and Sales as per AMS and proximity. Merchandising in accordance to planogram and system (FIFO) ascertained by Sales Department. Scout for outlets with good merchandising potential. Deployment of Merchandisers to service KAC and huge local chains. To ensure Merchandiser work closely with Sales Representative so that OOS will be minimized.
  6. To ensure the right SKUs are being request for and loaded. To refrain Sales Representative from selling only fast-moving SKUs. To ensure accuracy of Loading Vs Demand. Stocks loaded must be sufficient for the day’s route. Emphasis on Overnight team as sufficient stocks loaded is vital. Responsible and accountable to ensure that stocks ordered by Branch Executive are always sufficient. Take corrective actions if Branch Executive orders are not sufficient. To be signed off by both Sales Supervisor and Branch Manager/Executive. Sales Supervisor must ensure that all routes and inventories are correct for the day and all customers are reflected in the handheld. Perform major re-routing exercise every six months. Removing in-active customers from the route. Sales Supervisor must double confirm by visiting the outlet and ensure that Branch Executive update the route with the new customers within 3 working days. During Pre/Post-National Holidays, Sales Supervisor must assign staffs to ensure 100% vehicle mobilization.
  7. To highlight on short expiry stocks and outline the actions to be taken to clear in market. Reduce Overstock. Highlight and discuss with customers when there is an issue of overstock. Product rotation where slow moving items must be rotated to Retail outlets. Propose order for chains such as Econsave, Mydin etc. Monitor on KAC orders and to ensure that respective Sales Representative is informed.
  8. Plan on delivery every morning with Sales Representative and check on Sales Representative performance report (Hit Rate/Success Rate/Non-Scanned). Ensure POs are received on time and all pending invoices are collected back after delivery. Credit limit and term review is updated. Document Key notes for improvement in terms of service level, distribution, stock weight and merchandising. Scout for new/not serviced outlets and recommend new SKUs to be sold in potential outlets. Report on competitor activities promptly.
  9. QR Code must be available in all outlets where possible. Report on damage QR Code. Liaise with HQ on QR Code replacement and guide Sales Representative on the ideal location in the outlets to place QR Code.
